Hutton Junior Fisheries Biology Program

Meet Some of Our Scholars!
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we were unable to place the vast majority of our selected students with mentors for the summer. Of the 210 students from the United States, Canada and Mexico, we selected 24 students to participate in the 2020 Hutton Program. Of those 24 students, we were only able to place 11 in internships for the summer due to complications with work environment safety during the current worldwide pandemic. Even though this year our class is smaller than normal, we are excited that all students able to participate in the program this summer are female! We are looking forward to their work this summer in Texas, Idaho, Montana, Wisconsin and Oregon and hope that our program inspires them to choose colleges or universities to continue their passion for fisheries.
