Our Hutton Program financial supporters and host organizations, agencies and institutions ensure the future of fisheries by achieving the following:

  • Invest in a new generation of fisheries scientists
  • Help diversify the fisheries profession by engaging minorities and women
  • Promote organizational values and objectives
  • Receive public relations materials that feature their participation in the program

The Hutton Junior Fisheries Biology Program is generously supported by Federal Agencies, State Agencies, AFS Chapters, Sections, Divisions and AFS Members. Supporters who provide financial contributions enable the Hutton Program to continue and expand its efforts to ensure the future of fisheries by attracting young people to and diversifying the profession.

How can you become involved through supporting the program?

Hutton Program Partners (full sponsorship of a student):

Partners work directly with AFS staff to identify and place a student, fully supported by the funding partner, within their host institution interest field. Partners also receive annual reports about program participants and success, public relations materials as well as recognition for their generosity in Fisheries magazine and on AFS social media sites.

Hutton Program Supporters:

Supporters receive annual reports about program participants and success, public relations materials as well as recognition for their generosity in Fisheries magazine and on AFS social media sites.
